To help us continue expanding our offerings, we are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Applications Development to lead a multidisciplinary development team.

Job Summary:

We are looking to hire an exceptional Senior Manager of Applications and Engineering with a strong background in Health IT virtual care technology to lead key development initiatives in our organization. 

This role will be instrumental in developing the Wellsync API Manager Tool and driving integration efforts, focusing on API Integrations and Web Application Deployment for Wellsync’s Partners. 

The successful candidate will combine exceptional project management skills with deep technical expertise and a profound understanding of the healthcare information technology industry with strong knowledge of Front End and Back End applications development.

  • Healthcare Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the healthcare industry, especially health care provider business data.
  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based applications.
  • Development Experience: Hands-on development experience.
  • Data Architecture: Familiarity with on-premise and cloud data architecture patterns.
  • Data Pipeline Management: Proficiency in managing multiple data pipelines and different data file formats.

Applications Development:

  • Manage the development of products and solutions, from business process architecture and design to ongoing support.
  • Collaborate directly with product teams and customers in both a product and delivery capacity.
  • Oversee the development, enhancement, and maintenance of code to support strategic efforts and ensure ongoing system performance and integrity.
  • Implement improvement processes impacting internal operations, customer satisfaction, and relationships (e.g., Agile, DevOps).

Applications Administration:

  • Provide input to the business technology and delivery plan.
  • Ensure the free flow of work, information, ideas, and technology across departments.
  • Evaluate Provider Portfolio teams’ performance and progress against goals.
  • Recommend buy versus build decisions.
  • Minimize barriers for managing contractors and vendor representatives.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor multiple scrum teams.
  • Manage development activities for the product pipeline and resource allocation for the Provider Portfolio.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to identify product needs and deliverables.
  • Foster a developer culture within the Provider Portfolio and extend cultural initiatives to the broader organization.
  • Provide advice, guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback to team members.
  • Create synergies with other teams and departments.
  • Establish measurable objectives for individuals and teams aligned with business and organizational goals.
  • Document and present performance assessments and set developmental goals.
  • Recognize and reward associates based on performance.
  • Manage human resources activities such as hiring, coaching, and mentoring as needed.
  • Identify the roles, skills, and knowledge required and ensure staff has the necessary resources and skills.
  • Forecast new skill requirements based on emerging technologies.
  • Participate in IT workforce deployment activities.
  • Track budgets, resources, and hours for major development work.
  • Define and track team metrics.
  • Monitor efforts to eliminate duplicate design and reduce technical debt.
  • Analyze trends in technology and assess the impact of emerging technologies on product delivery.
