Edward O'Bryan, MD, MBA, CPE
President, Chief Medical Officer & Founder
Dr. O’Bryan, WellSync’s President and Chief Medical Officer, leads and oversees WellSync’s clinical efforts. He is a seasoned physician entrepreneur, having founded several successful healthcare companies and non-profits over his 20+ years in the healthcare space.
In addition to his role as CMO/President of Wellsync, Dr. O’Bryan is also the CMO at Graham Healthcare Capital. At Graham, he assists portfolio companies in realizing potential and evaluating new business opportunities and investment targets for clinical quality, effectiveness, and market & regulatory dynamics.
Before coming to GHCC, Dr. O’Bryan served as Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Clinical Operations for TruePill, a telehealth, digital pharmacy, and digital diagnostics company. There, he oversaw program and business development, quality, strategy, provider network building, and partnerships.
Previously, Dr. O’Bryan was at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) where he served as the Enterprise CMO for Telehealth and Business Health and the Founding Executive Director of MUSC Health Solutions, a novel system-wide accelerator for rapid commercialization of innovative digital medical products, services, partnerships, and ideas.
Academically, Dr. O’Bryan maintains his position as an Associate Professor of Medicine at MUSC. He has over $15 million dollars in funded research and numerous publications and academic presentations in addition to AOA honors. He attended Davidson College, received his M.D. from MUSC, and his M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee. He is married to his wife Claire, and has two daughters, Evy and Tillie.
